Lil' Wayne Sues Producer Over Unauthorized Sampling

The rapper Lil’ Wayne filed a lawsuit alleging that one of his producer’s sampled the work of a third party without permission.

The lawsuit was filed in response to a lawsuit filed against Lil’ Wayne accusing him of copyright infringement on the song “I Feel Like Dying.” The suit against Lil’ Wayne alleges that he sampled the song “Once” by folk musician Karma-Ann Swanepoel.

As a defense, Lil’ Wayne filed the lawsuit against his producer alleging that the producer was responsible for licensing agreements.
